Ooredoo Maldives and the Dhiffushi Women's Development Committee planted trees around Dhiffushi in Kaafu Atoll under the company's 'Grow with Ooredoo' programme.
Ooredoo chief executive Shadi Qawasmi and chief commercial officer Hussain Niyaz took part with island residents. The plants were supplied by the Housing Development Corporation.
The company said the activity supports greener, more sustainable island communities and wider involvement in conservation, and that it works with councils and community groups on environmental projects. The number of trees planted was not reported.
