Police have arrested two teachers in separate investigations into alleged sexual abuse of minors.

The suspects were detained after complaints were lodged by families of the students concerned. Authorities said the cases are being handled by specialised units and that the suspects have been remanded while inquiries continue.

Educational institutions have been asked to cooperate fully with the investigation. The Ministry of Education has reiterated that any staff member facing such allegations is suspended pending the outcome of police and court processes.

Cases involving minors are subject to strict confidentiality rules. Police have not released further identifying details at this stage to protect the victims.

The arrests add to a number of recent investigations into sexual offences against children. Courts have imposed significant sentences in comparable cases once evidence has been established.
