Iran has reiterated that any attempt to attack its territory will be met with a complete response, with senior officials stating the country will not be intimidated by threats of war.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of the Iranian parliament, told lawmakers that Iran stands ready to deliver a full reply to any action against its territory or sovereignty. He dismissed claims that threats of conflict would force the country to abandon its positions.

The remarks come amid ongoing tensions over the Strait of Hormuz, where Iranian forces have asserted control and warned against unauthorised passage. Officials have said the security environment in the region has changed permanently due to previous conflicts involving the United States and Israel.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has similarly stated that Iran's armed forces will leave no attack unanswered and urged external powers to leave the region if they seek safety.

Diplomatic efforts to stabilise the waterway remain stalled, with both sides accusing the other of failing to honour prior understandings. Iran maintains that any future arrangement must respect its rights over the strategic passage.

The warnings follow reports of heightened military readiness on both sides and continued disruption to commercial shipping.
