Police Club has secured a place in the final of the national volleyball tournament after defeating Club HDC 3-1 in the second semi-final.

The match was played on Sunday night at the Youth Centre indoor court. Police took the first two sets 26-24 and 25-21 before HDC claimed the third 25-20. Police then closed out the match 25-18 in the fourth set.

MNDF, the league champions, had already advanced after a five-set win over Police in the first semi-final. The final between Police and MNDF is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

HDC, third in the national league, had changed coaches ahead of the tournament, with Mohamed Sharaf taking over from Mohamed Sajid. One HDC player, Ismail Sajid, suffered an injury during the semi-final.

The national tournament follows the league season in which MNDF defeated Police in straight sets. Officials expect a closely contested final.
