Eighty-four young Maldivians have begun the third batch of the technical training programme under the national service scheme.
The trainees, drawn from 44 islands across 17 atolls, comprise 64 men and 20 women. They reported to the MNDF School of Engineering and Logistics in B. Kihaadhoo to start the course.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu announced the start of the batch, wishing the participants success. The programme forms part of broader efforts to expand technical skills and national service opportunities for young people across the country.
Earlier batches have focused on practical training that supports both public service and private-sector needs.
