A protest against the Rasmale' deal has been postponed to 13 November.
The delay was announced by organisers. The project remains a point of political contention, with the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) having passed resolutions critical of it.
Previous announcements had indicated the protest would take place earlier.
