Maldives Police Service has publicly requested the presence of a 54-year-old woman for questioning in connection with a scam investigation involving MVR 30,000.

The Anti-Scam Centre is looking for Saleema Saleem (ID A125066), originally from Ma. Gobiligasdhoshuge in Malé. Police said she is wanted because attempts to serve a formal notice failed as her current whereabouts are unknown. The notice was issued under Article 27 of the Criminal Procedure Rules.

Saleema is required to appear at the Sergeant Adam Haleem Criminal Investigation Building at 10:00 on Monday 26 October. Police said she is alleged to have deposited money obtained through a scam into a shop account and then handed over goods.

She has been linked to previous scam investigations, including one handled by Fuvahmulah Police Station in 2024 in which a public notice was also issued. No charges have been filed in the earlier case. Police noted that she has other criminal records.

The Anti-Scam Centre continues to investigate multiple similar cases involving financial fraud.
