The National Movement has postponed its planned protest against the Rasmale' deal to 13 November.

Former minister Imran Abdulla said the change was made to improve coordination with the Maldivian Democratic Party. He noted that public pressure was increasing.

The group has warned that any agreement signed against the public will would be annulled without compensation if power changes hands.

The original date was 6 November. The postponement comes as petitions and parliamentary resolutions on the project continue to circulate.

The Rasmale' development with Eagle Hills remains one of the most contested issues in current Maldivian politics.
