The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a warning of strong winds and rough seas for the period covering Hukuru and Honihiroo.
The forecast indicates that winds will strengthen and seas will become rough, particularly in northern and central atolls. Mariners and those planning inter-island travel have been advised to exercise caution.
The warning comes against a backdrop of unsettled weather that has already brought heavy rainfall to Malé and other islands. Earlier alerts ranged from yellow to orange levels as rainfall intensified, with accumulations of around 90 millimetres recorded in the capital over 24 hours.
Authorities including the MNDF have separately urged boat operators to monitor conditions closely. The southwest monsoon period frequently brings such episodes of heavy rain and elevated wind speeds across the archipelago.
Residents and travellers are encouraged to follow updates from the Meteorological Service.
