More than 1,273 projects are currently in progress. The specific amounts allocated to individual schemes in the current national budget have not been publicly detailed.

The Finance Ministry has assured that mechanisms are in place to ensure contractors receive payments on schedule. Delays in project completion have been a recurring concern in recent years, particularly for housing and infrastructure schemes in the Greater Malé region.
