The President’s Office today launched a directory of state institutions along with a dedicated website to make accurate information about government bodies easily accessible in one place.
The directory is part of the Maldives 2.0 efforts to strengthen public administration, increase transparency and improve the functioning of government. The website address is directory.presidency.gov.mv.
To keep the directory updated, if there are changes to the name of the head of an institution, its address, contact details or related links, the institution must inform the President’s Office through the form available on the website or by email.
The government has also decided that the names of state institutions will be written in both Dhivehi and English in official documents, letters, information systems, databases, websites and social media in accordance with the directory.
The initiative aims to provide the public with reliable, centralised information on government institutions and support better administration.
