Eighty-four young Maldivians have begun the third batch of the National Service technical training programme at the MNDF School of Engineering and Logistics in Baa Kihadhoo.

President Mohamed Muizzu announced the start of the intake, which includes 64 male and 20 female trainees drawn from 44 islands across 17 atolls. The programme provides specialised technical skills as part of the broader National Service framework.

The President wished the participants success and highlighted the importance of building local technical capacity. The school in Kihadhoo serves as the dedicated facility for engineering and logistics training under the scheme.

Previous batches have already completed similar courses, forming part of the government’s effort to expand skilled manpower for national development projects.
