One hundred and thirty-three new police officers have completed their training and been commissioned into the Maldives Police Service.

The officers finished the required course and are now available for deployment across the force. Training covers core policing skills, legal knowledge and operational procedures.

The intake adds to the service's ranks at a time when demand for policing remains high in both the capital and the atolls. New officers typically begin with supervised postings before full independent duties.

The Police Service regularly runs recruitment and training cycles to maintain staffing levels. Details of the specific course duration and graduation arrangements were released through local media.

The addition of the new officers is expected to support routine duties and specialised units as required.

Further batches are planned under the service's ongoing recruitment programme.
