A 20-room resort developed with Italian investment has opened in GDh. Kodeygala.
The Tourism Ministry said the project is the fourth resort in the atoll and is expected to create employment opportunities for residents while supporting the local economy.
Details on the exact investment amount, operator and room rates have not been widely published. The ministry framed the opening as part of continued growth in resort capacity outside the capital region.
GDh. Atoll already hosts several properties. The new resort adds to accommodation options for visitors seeking more remote island experiences.
No opening ceremony attendance figures or initial occupancy data were released.
