Maldives Expo 2026 has continued to attract strong public attendance at Hulhumalé Central Park, with President Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed returning on the second day to tour the exhibition halls.

The event, inaugurated on Sunday, brings together 419 participants displaying 4,404 products across dozens of categories. Traditional handicrafts form the largest share of entries, followed by creative arts, design, technology, fashion and tourism-related items.

Organised by the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade together with the Business Centre Corporation, the expo runs until 2 November under the theme “Future Maldives – Innovation, Creativity & Global Connections”. Opening hours are 4 pm to 11 pm daily.

Exhibitors include individual creators, small businesses, persons with disabilities, state-owned enterprises and non-governmental organisations. Organisers reported higher participation than in previous years.

The President and First Lady met several exhibitors to discuss their products and initiatives. The event is positioned as a showcase of local entrepreneurship and a platform for business connections.
